A man in the West Bank settlement of Beit Furik shot dead a man who was attempting to stab him with an electrical cord on Wednesday, according to police in the occupied West Bank.
The stabbing occurred at a settlement housing about 300 residents in the settlement of Ramot, located on the southern outskirts of the city of Ramallah, according the police.
The man, identified by police as Yishai Ghanem, 20, was rushed to the Hadassah Hospital, where he died, police said.
The Palestinian Authority’s Channel 10 TV station reported that Ghanam’s brother, Yasser Ghanami, said that Yishair had been living in Ramot with his mother for a few months, and had returned to his home in the town.
Yasser Gannam told Channel 10 that Yoshua had been in the same village as his brother, and that he had not heard of any other stabbing, which happened shortly after dawn on Wednesday.
